Student Dead After Falling 30 Feet At UPenn New Years Eve Party
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- University of Pennsylvania officials are investigating the death of a student attending a New Years Eve party inside a campus frat house.
Matt Crozier, 20-years-old of John Carroll University, passed away Wednesday morning due to severe head trauma caused by an accidental fall of about 30 feet while attending a party at the Phi Kappa Sigma house.
Crozier was rushed the the hospital in critical condition with head injuries early New Years day, he was pronounced dead early Wednesday morning.
University of Pennsylvania students are currently on winter break and Crozier, a resident of Yardley and alum of LaSalle College High School, was home on school vacation and invited to the party by friends.

Penn officials released the following statement in regards to the tragic incident:
"The University is currently the matter. This is a tragic loss, and our thoughts and prayers go out to the young man's family and friends.
Sources say this incdient is being regarded as an accident and, reportedly, there wasn't anyone near Crozier when he fell. Police reports confirm that alcohol was being served at the party and that Crozier may have consumed alcohol, however it is unclear if that consumption played a role in his death.
