Stotesbury Cup Regatta Underway This Weekend In Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Stotesbury Cup Regatta in Philadelphia is drawing hundreds of high school rowers to the largest high school rowing regatta in the world.
The competition continues through the weekend.

The competition comes from all over the country and Canada. Senior Morgan Holman from Long Island, New York is here rowing in the Girls double and she rowed with Michelle Byrnes.
"This is my fourth time."
(Reporter:) "So what do you like about the Stotesbury?"
"It's just beautiful, beautiful scenery. This is my partner, competition is great, I'm rowing with my best friend for the last time, It's rough."
Homan says however, she won't be continuing with rowing after she graduates. She's going to school to be an English major.
Also among the competition is sophomore Drew Winkler of Chestnut Hill, and he goes to La Salle High School. He says rowing has changed his life.
"Before I never really wanted to do anything like sports, and then I got into it, I just love it, I love everything about like this, and everything it has to offer."
He competed in the Varsity 4 competition and he says when he's finished with high school, he will definitely row in college.
