Store Clerk Abducted During Gas Station Robbery In Lower Merion

LOWER MERION, Pa. (CBS) - Police in Montgomery County and Philadelphia are investigating the abduction of an employee during a robbery at a gas station early Wednesday morning.
Authorities say a suspect, who implied that he was armed, entered the Sunoco A-Plus Mini-Mart near the intersection of City Avenue and Conshohocken State Road in Lower Merion Township just after 4 a.m.
Investigators say the suspect forced an employee into his car and drove away. A short time later, the suspect dropped the employee off along Henry Avenue in Philadelphia.
Philadelphia Police located the employee and returned him to the scene. The employee was not harmed.
Investigators say an undisclosed amount of cash was taken during the robbery.
The suspect is described as a dark-skinned black male, late 20's to mid 30's, 6'0 tall. He was wearing a white t-shirt, black shorts, a black baseball hat with light colored brim and dark sneakers.
Investigators are searching for a light-colored sedan, possibly a Ford, with a partial Pennsylvania tag of HNN-97.
The robbery remains under investigation by Philadelphia police and the Lower Merion Township Police Department.
