Stolen Car Containing Medical Waste Found in Philly

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - A car containing radioactive medical waste that police say was stolen in Darby Borough Friday afternoon, was found overnight in Philadelphia.
Darby borough and Philadelphia police responded to the 1900 block of South Ithan Street in Kingsessing overnight. There they found the car they were looking for -- a white Toyota Matrix that police say was stolen at gunpoint in Darby from a Cardinal Health employee Friday afternoon (see related story).
Police believe it was stolen because two suspects thought there were narcotics in the car, but they turned out to be containers of syringes of spent radioactive medicine. That brought Homeland Security in for the investigation, though authorities say the material isn't harmful.
The car, found unoccupied, was towed to Darby Borough police headquarters as the investigation continues. Authorities are still looking for two suspects.
