Still No Sign Of Teen Who Fell Into Rain-Swollen Pennypack Creek

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Crews are expected to return to the Pennypack Creek in Holmesburg tomorrow, searching for a teen who fell into the water Tuesday night.
The waters of the Pennypack Creek have receded, but they have not revealed the body of Sebastien Sanon. The 15-year-old fell in Tuesday afternoon when the creek was fast and deep, swollen from recent rains. Search crews were out again Wednesday morning searching past the Frankford Avenue bridge. So far, they have not found Sanon.
"Nothing is easy right now as far as we're concerned," said Jean Cadet, Sanon's uncle. "I can tell you God gives and God takes."
Cadet has been with the teenager's family since shortly after Sanon went missing. After so many hours of waiting and praying, they have only one final hope.
"The only thing, we hope that we find the body," said Cadet. "That's the only thing I could say."
Neighbors say Sebastien was always friendly and always helpful, well known on his block as an upstanding teen.
"He helped all the neighbors, like any elderly person who needed help with their groceries. He just did everything," said one neighbor before breaking down in tears.
A search party of friends, family, and complete strangers also combed a stretch of the Pennypack Creek looking for 15-year-old Sebastian Sanon.
Then they gathered in an apartment parking lot near Frankford Avenue and Ashburner Street, forming a prayer circle.
"And as we're looking, we just pray that you would bring this some type of closure," said one volunteer.
Swollen creeks have claimed more victims in recent weeks. Perry Krewson and Dan Tadrzynski, died in Neshaminy Creek three weeks ago (see previous story). And Brandon Boyle, 13, died in the Pennypack Creek in early July (see previous story), the same creek where crews were looking for Sebastien Sanon.
The search is expected to resume Thursday morning.
