State Police Investigate Montgomery County Double Shooting, 1 Dead
UPPER FREDERICK Twp., Pa. (CBS) – Montgomery County and Pennsylvania State Police are investigating a double shooting that resulted in the death of one person on Saturday.
Police were called to a residence on the 1700 block of Snyder Street in Upper Frederick Township where a man shot two individuals who attacked him with baseball bats outside of his home.
According to police, an investigation into the incident revealed that a woman and her boyfriend got in an argument at his residence on Snyder Street. The woman called her current husband, Josh Levin, and their 19-year-old son, Zachary Levin, to pick her up.
When Levin and his son arrived, police say, they were wielding baseball bats, one a full-sized aluminum bat and the other a small wood replica bat.
The boyfriend fled his home to get his gun from a truck parked nearby by after the two men threated to kill him.
Police say a neighbor overheard an argument between the three men, during which someone threatened to call police and a second person responded, "go ahead."
When State Police arrived, the found Zachary Levin, who suffered a fatal gunshot wound to the chest, and Josh Levin had suffered a gunshot wound to the arm.
Crime scene, ballistics and toxicology test results are pending.
No charges have been filed and this incident remains under police investigation.
