St. Hubert's, Near Top Of Target's Fundraising Competition, Urges Others To Get In The Game

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - A Philadelphia school is in the top-ten fundraisers nationwide, in a program run by Target.
You can have a say who gets some of a $2.5 million pot in the Give With Target program.
Target's Reba Dominski explains, "For every 25 votes that a school gets, they get a $25 gift card from Target, up to $10,000. You can vote once a week."
Dominski explained the firm's donation big picture, "We've committed a billion dollars to schools. There's so much need in schools today and we want to make sure we're setting students up for success."
They've gone to town with this at St. Hubert Catholic High School for Girls in the Northeast, pulling in more than $1,100 so far.
"We have a large number of friends on our St. Hubert Facebook page, and we put it out there to them and we ask them to share it," said Annemarie Szambelak, director of Admissions. "I asked them, help St. Hubert raise some money."
And Szambelak, thinks other schools should cash in, "To really step up and get a little extra help for supplies. It's a lot of different things. It depends on what each school needs is what it's going to be used for."
