Springsteen Never Visited His Exhibit At National Constitution Center

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - The just-closed Bruce Springsteen exhibition at the National Constitution Center didn't set any attendance records, but officials there say it did well.
"It didn't do quite as strongly as we expected, but it did fairly well."
She wouldn't release specific attendance numbers but National Constitution Center Chief Communications Officer Margaret Cronan says the Bruce Springsteen exhibition that ran from February through Labor Day finished strongly and drew the largest opening weekend they've ever had. But she says overall, the America, I AM and Diana exhibitions outdrew Bruce.
"I would say in the past four to five years, it's a number three as feature exhibitions go. And we did a decent number on the revenue side. The ticket was a little more expensive than other feature exhibitions because of the content."
But the Boss left some broken dreams behind. Cronan says the staff was hoping Springsteen would visit -- especially this past weekend when he was in town -- but he never did.
