Spring Cleaning Your Social Media
By Melony Roy
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - The weather might not be cooperating, but it's time to start spring cleaning and there is no better place to start than your digital life.
Spring cleaning shouldn't be limited to your home. Keeping your social networks updated and organized will help make social media work better for you. Andrea Smith is Lifestyle Editor of the tech blog Mashable.
She says the first thing you should do is take a look at your picture. "How old is your picture? How old is your cover photo, because there is some really nice personalizing you can do there now. Then take a look at your 'about' section. I'd give your bio a really good update"
You should also check your account settings.
"Always go through your permissions. Go through the apps that are allowed to access your Facebook account, because a lot of them get left behind, but they still have access and that's not a good thing."
