Spring Ahead? Yes, But Please Hurry Up
By Carol Erickson
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Wow, an hour can go by really fast. Why, suddenly, at 2am it became 3am today. Where did that hour go? Can we do that time shifting anytime we want? Like work days we could play with the clock and have eight hours speed forward as fast as you can dial that long hand past twelve.
Now, if it is possible to make time fly as we did overnight, why does the weather just trudge along? We pick up a measly few degrees every couple of days, but here I go complaining when the temperatures are heading in the right direction.
Temperatures are above freezing, at least, and continuing on that trend until Wednesday when the temps rise from today's 46 to around 55. And it's not snowing. And it's not raining. And the sun is setting at 7pm tonight, giving us lots of late daylight to contemplate, hopefully, the last of winter's chill. But could it hurry up, already?
