Spirit Of Philadelphia Returns To Delaware River After $1.5 Million Renovation
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Spirit of Philadelphia is back on the river after a $1.5 million renovation. There was a big party on the ship Tuesday night to show off her new look.
The Spirit of Philadelphia has been on the Delaware River for 25 years and this is probably it's first renovation in about ten years. Cool blue lighting, with silver trim and chairs and gold linens gives the spirt a new contemporary look. Mary Rinaldo is general manager.
"We went with a big lighting scheme so, at night, it's pretty spectacular. We have some art work upstairs. A light up dance floor. A light up DJ booth," said Rinaldo.
Rinaldo says the renovation also includes updated enhancements on the Spirit's menu, entertainment and criusing experience.
