PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Philadelphia police are investigating a one-car accident near the art museum just after 4:00 Sunday morning.
A driver lost control of his car while speeding southbound on Kelly Drive and attempted to round Eakins Oval.
Police say the car jumped the sidewalk, and was catapulted into the Eakins Oval fountain where it quickly became submerged in the water.
The driver was not hurt and alcohol did not play a role. Police have notified Fairmount Park and city officials of some damage to the fountain.
