SPCA Increases Reward In Case Of Dogs Found Dead Near South Philly Train Tracks
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The SPCA has increased the reward for information leading to the arrest of the person responsible for the death of six dogs left near train tracks in South Philadelphia.
The incident occurred on January 30th at 26th Street and Washington Avenue on the railroad train tracks.
SPCA officials say six adult dogs were found within 24 hours of dying, inside three trash bags, during a routine inspection (see related story).
"We know that these animals did not die of natural causes and we suspect that they may have been used in dogfighting," said Bengal. "We urge anyone with information about how these dogs were injured or who placed them in that area to contact us."
The SPCA has increased the reward from $2,000 to $5,000.
