SPCA: 11 Dogs Rescued From Suspected Dog-Fighting Ring In North Philadelphia
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Officers with the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals raided a Philadelphia home Friday and removed nearly a dozens dogs.
The raid happened inside a home in the 2200 block of W. Lehigh Avenue in North Philadelphia.
According to SPCA officials, officers rescued 11 dogs from the home that is suspected as a staging area for dog fights.
The home has been under surveillance for a period of time, SPCA officials said.
The dogs are expected to be brought to the SPCA headquarters for evaluation.
The discovery remains under investigation.
