South Jersey Girl Collecting Halloween Costumes For Children Affected by Sandy

WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, N.J. (CBS) -- A South Jersey fifth grader, looking to give back in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, is trying to do her part to make sure kids in the state can have a happy Halloween on Monday.
Gov. Christie passed an executive order rescheduling trick-or-treating to this Monday, November 5th (see related story), and 10-year-old Stephanie Masapollo from Washington Township (Gloucester County) says she felt bad for kids across the state.
"I thought about the children that didn't have their costumes anymore, whether they got destroyed or lost in the hurricane."
It's her favorite holiday, she says.
So she asked her dad about starting a collection for costumes and somehow getting them to children in hard-hit areas.
"Either the new or old (costumes)," she tells KYW Newsradio. "And the ages are one to 12."
The onsite collection will be at her father's company, SolarWorks NJ, 900 Route 168, Suite A-5, in Turnersville, NJ.
