South Jersey Cooling Centers Open For The Holiday
SOUTH JERSEY (CBS) -- Southern New Jersey has opened several municipal cooling stations which will be open throughout July 3-4, 2012.
There are two 24-hour sites: Dorothy Fire Hall and Northfield City Hall. These will be open until further notice.
Additional sites for today and tomorrow (July 4) are:
Martin Bloom Center, Margate - 8 AM to 5 PM
Margate Terrace, 610 N. Fredericksburg Avenue - 5 PM to 8 AM
St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Absecon - 8 AM to 6 PM
Brigantine Community Center - 9 AM to 5 PM
Richland Fire Hall - 9 AM to 6 PM
Buena Vista Township city hall - 9 AM to 6 PM
Alder Avenue School, EHT - noon to 8 PM
Linwood City Hall - 8 AM to 5 PM
Mullica Township town hall - 8 AM to 4:30 PM
Pleasantville high rise, 140 N. Main Street - 8 AM to 5 PM
Somers Point City Hall - 8 AM to 4 PM
All county library branches with the exception of Mays Landing, Egg Harbor Township and Ventnor are open during normal business hours today (July 3) to provide residents with other air conditioned facilities, but will NOT be open on July 4 unless need is determined.
County offices will be closed for July 4 holiday but EOC will remain open, 6 AM to 9 PM, to respond to needs and contribute to restoration efforts.
