Soul Look To Grab First Home Victory Vs. Power

By Matt Leon

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The Philadelphia Soul will try once again to win their first home game of the season on Saturday night as they welcome the Pittsburgh Power to South Philadelphia.

Philadelphia is 0-2 at the Center this season (losses to Cleveland and Jacksonville) and the head coach says that has to change.

"We owe our fans," Clint Dolezel tells KYW Newsradio.  They've been supportive the first two weeks (of home games) and we didn't do a very good job of making it a win for them."

The Soul come into this game fresh off what was easily their most complete performance of the season.  Last weekend they went into Chicago and dismantled the Rush, 72-41.

Clint Dolezel Interview

"It was very comforting to finally put it all together," Dolezel says. "We hadn't done that the whole year, maybe had two phases we won, but not all three.  Usually when we play that well, good things happen."

Overall on the season, Philadelphia is 3-3.  Pittsburgh is just 1-5.

"They're probably a little better than their record shows," Dolezel says.  "I watched them against Orlando last week and they easily could have won that football game (lost 52-38).  They've been in the games, they could've beat San Antonio the week before that (lost 42-37).  Kind of like us, they're a little bit snake bit on a few things, things not going their way.  The bottom line for us is we've got to get after their young quarterback and if we can do that, I think everything will take care of itself."

Philadelphia and Pittsburgh will kick-off at 7:05 on Saturday night.
