Something Has To Give As Sixers Host Magic
By Matt Leon
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Two struggling teams collide tonight in South Philadelphia as the Sixers host the Orlando Magic.
Both teams are mired in five-game losing streaks. Last time out the Sixers lost to the Knicks on Sunday 99-93, despite 30 points from Jrue Holiday. Orlando dropped its last game on Saturday. They were hammered by Cleveland, 118-94.
This will be the second meeting between these two teams this season. The 76ers won the first back on February 4th, 78-61.
The Magic have a couple of former 76ers playing pretty well for them these days. Second-year center Nik Vucevic is averaging a double-double, 12.3 points and 11.4 rebounds. Rookie forward Moe Harkless is chipping in 5.3 points a contest and in his last four games he has averaged 16.8 points. Both players were acquired by the Magic in the deal that brought Andrew Bynum to Philadelphia.
Bynum will not play tonight.
