Some Say Gov. Christie Has Mixed Emotions Going Into Re-Election Campaign

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, as expected, filed papers this week to seek re-election in 2013. Given the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy he seems to be approaching the campaign, to some, with mixed emotions.
Running as an incumbent for re-election to any office presents a challenge; you're doing your job while asking the people to let you keep it.
In a meeting with reporters in Trenton, Christie acknowledged that recent events will make that balancing act more difficult than some might think.
"There will be days where I will have incredible gusto on the campaign trail and really enjoy it. And I'm sure there will be days, because of what's going on back here, that I will say to myself 'What the hell am I doing going out and campaigning today?'" he says.
The Governor hasn't even had time to sit down with Lieutenant Governor Kim Guadagno to see if she wants another term in office. They plan to meet next week.
Christie says he hasn't given a thought to any potential Democrat opponent.
