Some Philadelphians Shocked By Vick Death Threats

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Eagles quarterback Michael Vick is cancelling several book-signings due to death threats (see related story).
Michael Vick's been promoting his autobiography, Finally Free, but because of threats against him and his family, he's cancelled appearances in Atlanta, North Jersey and one later this month in Exton, Chester County.
Vick served 18-months in prison on conspiracy charges for his role in a dog-fighting ring.
But, people like David Brodar from Phoenixville feel the anger at Vick is misdirected.
"The guy did his time, he's doing good work now. He should be recognized for what he's doing now. He's trying to help people and say that he did wrong. What else can you ask out of the guy?"
The threats are shocking to people like Carl Stypinski.
"If you want to be mad at the man -- you don't want to watch the Eagles? That's fine. But, you go threatening the man? That's beyond ridiculous."
Vick was signed by the Eagles in 2009 after his release from prison. He's worked with the Humane Society, and has talked to school kids about the dangers of dog fighting.
The threats are being investigated by police.
