Royal Wedding May Be A Trip
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Now that Prince William and Kate Middleton have announced their wedding date, will there be a rush to London from the Delaware Valley as there was for Prince Charles and Princess Diana's wedding all those years ago?
The Wedding Date is Friday, April 29th, 2011. Frannie Segal at Monarch Travel in Philadelphia says she is already getting phone calls.:
"There is availability but starting the 27th of April prices do go up! We had expected all the hotel rooms to become non-refundable but as of this point they do have a previous generous cancellation (fee)."
Segal says some hotels have already sold out but there are openings in other upper to mid-priced hotels. As for flights, right now they are all open. And, if London is sold out, Jim Lardear with Triple A Midatlantic says you have another option.:
"The Cunard Cruise Lines, the Queen Mary II, Queen Victoria and the Queen Elizabeth will be at sea and able to show this historic wedding on their big screens on their boats."
There are some definite options but both travel experts say be prepared to pay!
