Some Old City Businesses May Feel The Heat From Suit Corner Fire
By Hadas Kuznits
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - It's expected to be a lovely weekend, and that usually lures folks outside for Alfresco dining and nightlife. So how is Wednesday's Suit Corner fire in Old City expected to impact business owners over this beautiful weekend?
Despite the caution tape and road closures, folks in Old city say this neighborhood is vibrant no matter what happens here, especially if it's expected to be a beautiful weather weekend:
"The fire's out. Okay yeah, it looks a mess, but people are just gonna walk by, gaze at it and keep on going. Which is what they're doing now!"

Some business owners on Market Street right -- next to the Suit Corner -- say they have been affected:
"Yeah, but we're hustling. We've got scrubbing crews that their specialty is smoke and fire recovery."
But other business owners say they haven't felt that much of a hit:
"We get a lot of foot traffic. They sort of like funnel it out around the caution tape and if you need to get up and down 3rd Street you need to kind of walk past us."
As pedestrians are directed to cross to the other side of Market Street, businesses on that side say they've even seen a bit of a bump in their business.
