Some Kozy Shack Pudding Recalled Over Incorrect Labeling

ARDEN HILLS, Minn. (AP) — Pudding maker Kozy Shack Enterprises is recalling some pudding because it was not labeled as containing eggs.

The voluntary recall involves one lot of the Indulgent Recipe Pudding in a Salted Caramel cardboard sleeve that may contain Vanilla Bean Pudding cups.

Kozy Shack said Wednesday the vanilla pudding contains eggs but the Salted Caramel cardboard sleeve does not include egg among the ingredients.

The company shipped about 6,400 cases of the product, which is sold as four individual cups in a cardboard sleeve, for a total of about 76,800 sleeves.

The recalled product was distributed to retail stores in 18 states — Arizona, California, Connecticut, Idaho, Massachusetts, Maryland, Maine, Nevada, North Carolina, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Utah, Virginia and Washington.

Minnesota-based cooperative Land O'Lakes owns Kozy Shack Enterprises.
