Twitter tests a new feature

Twitter is testing "pinned tweets" for high-profile users.

A "pinned tweet" will not be constrained to time limits and will be labeled as "promoted" at the top of a user's profile.

Paying customers will also have access to this feature which is located on the users analytics page on Twitter.

Season premiere crashes HBO Go

Game of Thrones: International Exhibition

HBO Go crashed last night during the "Game of Thrones" season premiere.

Angry fans took to Twitter to express their frustration about the outage.

HBO did provide regular updates during the four-hour outage, but ended up telling its subscribers via Twitter to consider watching the premiere on its network at the next re-run time.

Vine co-founder steps down

 

Just days after the launch of Vine Messages, Vine co-founder Colin Kroll has announced he's stepping down from his position as Vine's general manager.

The announcement came via Twitter, where Kroll wrote that he plans to stay on as an advisor.

The first episode of  new HBO series now on YouTube

The first episode of  HBO's "Silicon Valley" is now on YouTube.

The series debuted on HBO Sunday night and follows six programmers who are living together and trying to make it big in Silicon Valley.
