Facebook Eyeing Financial Services

The Financial Times of London reports Facebook is planning to take a step into financial services.

The company is working on a money transfer service in Europe that would allow the social network to compete with the likes of Western Union.

It would also give users the option of storing money with the social network or buying items online.

Twitter Acquires Gnip

Twitter has acquired Gnip, a company that focuses on collecting, organizing, and sharing social data with companies and organizations.

The terms of the deal were not disclosed, but Twitter says that it will use Gnip's technology to provide better data to its customers.

TV News and Video Start-Up Partner

MSNBC and video start-up NowThis News have announced a joint video partnership called "15 Seconds To Truth."

The short news videos will air on MSNBC's digital, social, and mobile platforms, as well as on TV .
