Facebook is the new arena for soccer
As the FIFA World Cup nears, Facebook users should expect to see a surge in posts about games, players, and stats.
Around 500 million of Facebook's 1.2 billion users are soccer fans or have at least liked a soccer player or team. In the U.S., there are 48.9 million soccer fans.

Buffer adds new features
The social media scheduling service Buffer is adding two new features, a feed-reading service and curated content suggestions.
With Buffer Feeds, users will now be able to reel in various feeds from news sites and share them directly from within Buffer. The service is also rolling out a new content-suggestion feature that recommends stories for users to share.
Content feeds will be part of Buffer's paid products and content suggestions will be part of its free product.

Facebook updates iOS app
In its latest iOS app update, Facebook has rolled out a new feature that will display cards that reveal relevant posts from friends when you check in at a location or post an activity update.
The cards will appear over your News Feed after you update your status and will only display a few relevant posts at once.
The new feature doesn't affect privacy settings and the cards will only display information that has been previously shared with friends.
