Facebook changes policy for profiles of deceased users
Facebook has reversed its previous decision to let only friends and family members see the profile of deceased loved ones. "Memorialized" pages will now be visible to everyone who was able to see the profile before the user died.
"This will allow people to see memorialized profiles in a manner consistent with the deceased person's expectations of privacy," Facebook said on its site. "We are respecting the choices a person made in life while giving their extended community of family and friends ongoing visibility to the same content they could always see."
Facebook will also offer family access to a deceased user's "Look Back Video," the 60-second video created for all users as part of the network's 10-year anniversary.
The pages could also be taken down at the request of friends or family, and Facebook says it won't be providing any login information for memorialized accounts.

LinkedIn revamps it's Who's viewed your profile page
LinkedIn has revamped its "Who's Viewed Your Profile" feature with new analytics and insights that are designed to give users more ways to manage their professional identity and increase their visibility.
In a blog post the company says "This will help you quickly identify trends and enable you to align your professional brand with your professional goals."
Additional data includes the industry your viewers work in, the keyword searches that led to your profile, and how they found you. New insights will include what regions they live in, what profession they are in, and what company they work for.
LinkedIn has also added real-time personalized tips on actions you can take to make yourself more "discoverable" to other like-minded professionals, potential employers or business partners.

LinkedIn finally lets users block other members
Linkedin is also rolling out a new feature that its users have sought for some time, users will now be able to block specific member profiles on the site.
In the post announcing the news, the head of trust and safety Paul Rockwell, explained why it took so long: "While on the surface this may seem like a simple feature to develop, it was not. There were many different use cases to consider, products and features to integrate, as well as a user interface we had to create."
The new block feature can be accessed by just visiting the profile of the person you want to block and clicking the down arrow to the right of "Send InMail" button and selecting the "Block or report" option.
