<em>Soccer: </em> Union Bringing In Two International Players
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - The Philadelphia Union is continuing with a busy off season as they announce they have agreed to terms with a pair of players who hail from Colombia.
The Union is hoping that 39-year-old goalkeeper Faryd Mondragón and defender Carlos Valdés can help shore up a defense that struggled last season.
Mondragón began his professional career in 1990, and since then he has played around the globe, also getting extensive work on the Colombian National Team.
Valdés has been a professional since 2003 and has an extensive résumé in his home country.
Financial terms of the deals were not released.
