Soccer: East-Leading Union Readies for Real Salt Lake
CHESTER, Pa. (CBS) - The Philadelphia Union will be home on Saturday night, welcoming Real Salt Lake to PPL Park in Chester.
The Union leads the MLS Eastern Conference with 21 points -- that's two points better than second-place New York. The Red Bulls are in action tonight, however, hosting New England.
Philadelphia is undefeated in its last three matches, picking up seven of nine possible points in the process. They've also found the offense, scoring nine goals during that time.
Union midfielder Brian Carroll says more offense is nice, but the focus is always on playing sharp soccer in all facets.
"I think where we find comfort is working hard for one another," he tells KYW's Matt Leon. "And whether we score a lot of goals or not, our main objective is just to get the win. And certainly doing that with more goals is great to see and awesome to be a part of, but the most important thing for us is just to work hard for one another, work hard for the fans, and get as many points and as many victories as possible."

Real Salt Lake is in the middle of the pack in the Western Conference, but their 20 points is only one fewer than the Union.
What does Carroll think Real Salt Lake is doing well these days?
"They are awesome moving the ball around, playing one, two touch. They have good shape offensively and defensively. They are a team in the past few years that have built something special and have made some deep runs into the playoffs -- and winning it a couple years ago. So we have to expect their best."
Last season when these two teams matched up, they played to a 1-1 draw on August 11th in Chester.
