PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — Radnor Township police are looking for the owner of a large snake found in the township.

A 3-4 foot ball python was found on a driveway near Strathmore and Conestoga roads, police said.

It "looked very healthy, was basking in the sun," Officer Jennifer Cocco said.

Cocco said the snake is nonvenomous.

The snake is now at Radnor Vet as police try to find the owner.

If you are the owner or have information, contact Radnor police.

In Radnor, reactions to the slithering serpent were mixed.

"I would run the other way because that's not a small snake," one resident said.

"I know what mom would do, she would jump and scream," one neighbor said.

Others found the creature more charming.

"Snakes are cute," one said. "If it wasn't venomous, I probably would see if I could pet it."
