Smooth Riding For Those Traveling Into Center City For Day 2 Of Papal Visit
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- It's the final day of the Pope's visit to the United States and he is spending it in Philadelphia.
Pilgrims from near and far hopped on various forms of public transportation to make their way to the Parkway where the Pontiff will celebrate Mass at 4 p.m.
SEPTA says so far, they are not having any issues, but ridership has increased on the Regional Rail line.
SEPTA's Cornwells Heights train station saw moderate crowds on Sunday. Lines were relatively short and trains were on time. Mary Louise Thomas of Langhorne, Pa. said this was her second day taking the train to see Pope Francis.
"We went down yesterday and we had a wonderful time," she said. "SEPTA was amazing. There was no wait. We hopped on the train, and it was easy going through 30th Street Station. The event was absolutely breathtaking. Coming back, no problems with SEPTA what so ever. Everything was wonderful."
SEPTA says the maximum wait time at AT&T station is 15 minutes.
For those traveling from New Jersey, PATCO says plenty of passes and parking spaces are still available. Riders can purchase papal passes until 3:30 p.m. Sunday at in-service New Jersey stations.

Officials are advising riders to arrive early to ease congestion and safely navigate through security checkpoints.
According to the Philadelphia Office of Emergency Management, both SEPTA and PATCO are experiencing heavier volume today than yesterday.
