Small Plane Crashes, Hits Car in South Jersey
Authorities say the pilot of a small plane escaped serious injury when his plane crashed on the front lawn of a Gloucester County home and totaled a parked car.
Federal Aviation Administration spokeswoman Arlene Salac said the Piper J-3 Cub came down near the Monroe Township home around
12:15 pm Saturday.
The pilot, whose name wasn't immediately disclosed, was the only person aboard the plane. He was treated at a nearby hospital for minor hand and arm lacerations.
No one on the ground was injured in the crash, which remains under investigation.
Most of the plane was stuck in the car, and both were towed to a nearby hangar shortly after the crash because drivers slowing down to look at the wreckage were causing traffic delays in the area.
