Sixers' Thaddeus Young Wins Eastern Conference Player Of The Week
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The Sixers are hot, winners of four straight games, all on the road. The guy leading the charge is a player who just two weeks ago was rumored to have requested a trade from the team; Thaddeus Young.
Young, the team's elder statesman even though he's just 25 years old, was named the NBA's Eastern Conference Player of The Week on Monday.
The Sixers went 3-0 during the week, including a win over one of the league's best teams, the Portland Trailblazers. Young averaged 25 points, just under eight rebounds, three assists and four steals in the three wins.
Young was rumored to have requested a trade from the rebuilding Sixers, but denied the claims.
