Sixers Reportedly Agree To Terms With Malcolm Lee
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- According to Adrian Wojnarowski, the Sixers have agreed to terms on a deal with shooting guard Malcolm Lee. The move will add depth to a backcourt with some clear question marks.
The UCLA product was a second round selection of the Bulls in 2011 and was shipped to the Timberwolves on draft night. Lee managed to play 35 games over two seasons for Minnesota and missed all of last season due to injury.
While the signing might seem to be a very minor one considering Lee's impact in the league to this point, it could have some serious implications for this year's team. Lee is a 6'5 shooting guard known for his athletic ability and defensive prowess.
When the Sixers parted ways with James Anderson this off-season, they lost their primary starting shooting guard from last season. Lee could potentially be in the mix for that role alongside Michael Carter-Williams.
His competition for the spot would more than likely be Tony Wroten who also started some games at shooting guard last season. Wroten averaged 13.0 points and three assists per game in his first season with the Sixers.
