Sixers Quiet At The Trade Deadline

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The NBA trade deadline came and went at 3pm on Thursday, and the Sixers didn't make a move. Doug Collins said not to expect anything big from the team before the deadline, and those expectations were met.
The Sixers lone move was acquiring 23 year-old point guard Charles Jenkins from the Golden State Warriors in exchange for a second round pick, reports Ken Berger of CBS Sports. Jenkins is averaging just six minutes per game in 47 games this season.
The one rumor that the Sixers were involved in until 3pm was for former Orlando Magic guard J.J. Redick, who instead went to the Milwaukee Bucks. Though Redick could have helped the Sixers this year, he's an unrestricted free-agent at the end of the season.
Many players rumored to be available, including Atlanta's Josh Smith, Utah's Al Jefferson, and just about everyone on the Celtics, stayed put.
The moves the Sixers could have made were limited, with Moe Harkless, Nik Vucevic and a first round pick going to Orlando in the trade for Andrew Bynum. The Sixers also sent a lottery protected first-round pick to Miami in the off-season for the right to draft Arnett Moultrie.
Evan Turner was rumored to be available, according to a report from CBS Sports' Ken Berger.
Moultrie, who the Sixers liked enough to trade for, played zero minutes in Wednesday night's loss to the Timberwolves. Damien Wilkins played 26 minutes, and Kwame Brown played.
The bright side is that the Sixers won't have to face Nik Pekovic again this year. Spencer Hawes is relieved.
