Sixers Host Warriors Before Heading Into Break

By Matt Leon

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --- The 76ers will play their final game before the NBA All-Star Break tonight as they welcome the Golden State Warriors to the Center.

Since starting the season a well-documented 0-17, the 76ers have really improved, going 12-23 in the 40 games since. They have won four straight at the Center and Saturday's victory over Charlotte improved them to 12-40.

Sixers have played without injured guard Michael Carter-Williams the last couple of games because of a toe injury. His status for tonight is up in the air.

This will be the second and final meeting between these two teams this season. The Sixers are hoping this one goes much better than the first. Golden State won that first game out in California on December 30th, 126-86.

Golden State brings a 40-9 record into tonight and that is the best record in the NBA.

KYW's Matt Leon spoke with Tom Moore of the Bucks County Courier Times about the Sixers improvement this season and the match-up with the Warriors.
