Sixers Host Magic, Look To Snap Skid
The Sixers will be back in South Philadelphiatonight as they welcome the Orlando Magic to town.
That 3-0 start that turned a lot of heads now seems like a long time ago. Since then the Sixers have dropped 12 of 15 games, inlcuding their last four. But despite a 6-12 record, the Sixers are still in third place in what has so far proven to be a bad Atlantic Division. They are just a game behind first-place Toronto.
To put in perspective how bad the Atlantic, look at Orlando's standing in the Southeast.
The Magic bring a similar 6-11 ledger into this game, but they are last in their division and eight games behind first-place Miami.This will be the second match-up between the Sixers and the Magic this season.
The first came last week down in Florida, Orlando beating the Sixers, 105-94, on November 27th. In that game, the Sixers had no answer for a former teammate as center Nic Vucevic led Orlando with 21 points and 16 rebounds.
The Sixers continue to be paced offensively by swingman Evan Turner who is averaging 21.3 points a game. Rookie guard Michael Carter-Williams is second on the team in scoring, pouring in 17 points a contest.
