Sixers Can End The Bulls Season Tonight At The Wells Fargo Center

By Spike Eskin

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The fate of the Bulls and Sixers seasons hang in the balance tonight, as the teams play the sixth game in their best of seven series. In a lot of ways, the fate of the Philadelphia sports fan hangs in the balance well.

With the Flyers playoff hopes dashed by the New Jersey Devils, and the Phillies sitting alone in last place in the National League East, a win tonight from the Sixers can provide a glimmer of hope in what's become a grim Philadelphia sports landscape. No pressure, guys. The Sixers lead the series 3-2.

Jrue Holiday is one of the guys who needs to play well for the Sixers to beat the Bulls. "This is going to be probably the biggest and the hardest game for us to win," Holiday told KYW NewsRadio's Matt Leon. The Sixers had a chance to win the series on Tuesday night, but lost to the Bulls 77-69 in one of the uglier NBA games you'll ever see.

Holiday shot 5-17 Tuesday, and credits some of that to a change in the Bulls defensive scheme. "They're really packing the paint, and try to make us shoot," he said. Andre Iguodala shot 4-19 in the game, and Evan Turner 2-7. The Sixers shot 18% from the three-point line and 32% overall in the game.

The Sixers will be attempting to win their first playoff series since 2003. If they advance, they will play the winner of the Atlanta Hawks vs. Boston Celtics series. The Celtics lead that series 3-2, and game six is tonight at 8pm.

Joakim Noah is unlikely to play tonight, and Taj Gibson will play for the Bulls, according to CSN Chicago.
