Single Vehicle Crash In Delaware Kills Elderly Woman
MILLSBORO, Del. (AP) — Delaware State Police say an 84-year-old woman was killed and her daughter injured in a single-vehicle crash in Millsboro.
It happened about 3:40 p.m. Wednesday on Indian Mission Road. Troopers say Betty J. See of Lewes was driving south when her car drifted off the road and entered a ditch. The vehicle then struck a tree, causing it to turn onto its side. The roof of the vehicle struck a second tree, where it stopped.
See was pronounced dead at Beebe Memorial Hospital. See's 64-year-old daughter, Felicia J. Stroup of Virginia Beach, Va., a passenger in the car, was admitted to Christiana Hospital with serious injuries.
The crash is under investigation.
