Signal Problems Snarl NJ Trains
Signal problems stranded hundreds of rail riders around the region, Wednesday morning.
Amtrak spokeswoman Vernae Graham said a downed tree near Morrisville, Pa., caused a power outage around 5:30 a.m.
Graham said that caused delays of up to 90 minutes between Manhattan and Philadelphia. It also forced Amtrak to cancel three trains and terminate three trains in Philadelphia.
Septa service on the Trenton regional rail line was suspended for hours.
NJ Transit spokeswoman Penny Bassett Hackett says there is no service on the Northeast Corridor between Trenton and the Jersey Avenue station in New Brunswick.
