Shore Bets To The Beach, Part 3: Delaware Destinations
Some roads to the shore have a new look. KYW's Mike DeNardo explains what has changed in the off-season on the way to area beaches.

Christiana, Del. (CBS) — Drivers heading to the Delaware beaches may feel like the area around I-95 and Route 1 near the Christiana Mall has been under construction for a decade.
They'd be right -- that ten-year modernization is now in its "final" stage.
Under his three-year phase of the project, the loops that require beach traffic to compete with mall shoppers are being replaced with flyover ramps into dedicated lanes on I-95 and Route 1.
Will drivers see more lane closures this summer? DelDOT spokesman Mike Williams says no.
"They'll see construction. They'll see workers, they'll see cranes, they'll see dirt. But they hopefully won't see elongated backups more than what they're used to having," Williams (right) tells KYW Newsradio.
What they've been used to, he says, is staring at the brake lights of the guy ahead.
"Every weekend on Sunday afternoons, from probably two o'clock to seven o'clock at night, that northbound single lane of Route 1 that's exiting onto 95 North backs up for a couple of miles," Williams acknowledges.
Drivers have no doubt seen the ramp support columns rising from the ground with no road to carry yet. Williams says when the $86-million project is finished in the summer of 2014, those weekend jams should be a thing of the past.
