Shoppers Make Last-Minute Run For Blizzard Supplies In South Jersey

CHERRY HILL, N.J. (CBS) --  Not much calm in Cherry Hill before the major winter storm headed our way this weekend.

A seemingly endless flurry of people spent the day grabbing what they say are storm survival essentials.

"Bread, milk, meat, breakfast foods. I have a sleeping bag in my truck. I have something to make a little fire if I have to," Jim Brubaker told Eyewitness News.

"Salt, to melt the ice with. And all the snow. So I don't have to shovel," Tom Farrell said.

But after a warm start to winter, others are pretty excited about the storm.

"It's gonna be fun we didn't get a lot of snow last year," Heather Paoli said.

Paoli says she checked off everything on her grocery list, but couldn't forget a sled that might turn the snowy weekend into an adventure for her kids.

"Snow is no fun if you don't have a sled," she said.

The Cherry Hill Home Depot says it sold out of rock salt earlier this morning.
