Shootings Across Philadelphia Kill One, Injure Boy, College Student
PHILADELPHIA (AP) -- Philadelphia police say gunfire has killed one man and sent a Temple University student and a 14-year-old boy to the hospital.
Police say a man and a woman were hit by gunfire at about 2:30 a.m. Sunday in the Frankford section of northeast Philadelphia. Police say the man was pronounced dead shortly afterward at Aria Hospital's Torresdale campus. The woman is listed in stable condition.
At about 11:30 p.m. Saturday in the same area, police say, a 14-year-old was hit when two groups exchanged gunfire. He was listed in stable condition at Saint Christopher's Hospital.
At about 2 a.m. Sunday in North Philadelphia, police say, a shooting outside a Halloween party critically injured a Temple University student. Police say some people were arguing on the sidewalk when a costumed male walking by opened fire. A suspect was arrested nearby.
