Shooting In South Philadelphia Leaves 1 Dead, Teen Wounded
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A shooting in South Philadelphia left one man dead and a teenager wounded Wednesday afternoon.
Gunfire rang out in the 1800 block of S. 6th Street near Mifflin at about 1:50 p.m.
Authorities say an unidentified 20-year-old man was shot once in the chest and died a short time later at Methodist Hospital. A 14-year-old boy was also shot. Police say the teen suffered four gunshot wounds to the back and one in the leg. He was taken to Jefferson University Hospital where he was listed in stable condition.
At this time, no arrests have been made and a motive remains under investigation.
