Woman critical after shooting in Center City, Philadelphia, 2 others injured, police say
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Philadelphia Police are working to determine who shot three people in Center City late Sunday night.
Police Captain Anthony Ganard said officers responded to 11th and Ludlow streets, not far from the city's Fashion District, just before 11:30 p.m. on June 2, where they found two women and one man who'd been shot.
The first victim, a 53-year-old woman, was shot in the knee, a 22-year-old man was shot twice in the right arm and a 42-year-old woman was shot once in the pelvis and once in the right arm. Police said all three people were taken to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital; the first two victims were considered to be in stable condition, while the 42-year-old woman is considered critical.
Ganard said four 9mm shell casings and one projectile were found at the scene.
"As of right now, the information we're getting from some people in the area is that there was an argument or dispute that happened out here," Ganard said. "However, we're getting conflicting information on the description of any shooters."
Police said officers will look at surveillance cameras in the area as part of their investigation.
