Fall festivities, coffee festivals and Shane Gillis, oh my! The Philadelphia area is buzzing this weekend, and not just from caffeine ahead of the inaugural Philly Coffee Festival.

This weekend features performances by A-List comedian Shane Gillis in South Philly, plus Judah & The Lion and Grammy award-winner Tori Kelly both take the stage at The Fillmore. We're also talking fall festivities galore, both in the city and the suburbs. Read about those events and more as we break down what's going on in the Philadelphia area from Friday to Sunday.

Shane Gillis at Wells Fargo Center

Stand-up fan favorite and Pennsylvania native Shane Gillis is bringing the laughs to South Philly this Friday night. Gillis, originally from Mechanicsburg, will perform his comedy magic at the Wells Fargo Center starting at 8 p.m.

Gillis' Philly roots run deep. Back in 2016, the comic won Philly's Funniest at Helium Comedy Club and now is known to pop in for a show appearance or two at the event center on Samson Street.

Gillis' Pennsylvania roots were also on full display when he was a writer on Comedy Central's 2015 series, "Delco Proper." The comic has hosted "Saturday Night Live," co-hosts "Matt and Shane's Secret Podcast," created and starred in the comedy show "Tires" and his latest comedy special, "Shane Gillis: Beautiful Dogs" is streaming on Netflix.

Tickets are sold out on Ticketmaster's website but are available on third-party sellers starting at $101.

Flyers vs. Canucks at Wells Fargo Center

The last regular season home game here in Philly left fans with mixed feelings but there's still hope for excitement. The Philadelphia Flyers face the Vancouver Canucks at the Wells Fargo Center on Saturday.

After a thrilling 3-2 victory in Vancouver to open the season, the rematch comes to South Philly. Flyers' budding star Matvei Michkov is already winning over the hearts of fans. Tickets are available for as low as $61 on third-party sites.

If you or someone you know is a Philadelphia sports fan in need of a home game, don't hesitate to grab your seats.
