Several Philadelphia School Buses Destroyed In Compound Fire
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Authorities in Philadelphia are investigating several fires that took place in a school bus compound.
Fire officials arrived at Academy and Byberry roads in northeast Philadelphia at about 2:45 p.m. to find five school buses on fire. Officials say that of those five buses owned by the Philadelphia School District, three are destroyed.
Since there are no classes due to spring break, the school district does not expect the incident to impact transportation when school resumes next week. The district owns about 550 buses.
No injuries were reported. There is no word on what caused the fire.
