Several Batches Of Children's Cough Syrup Recalled
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Children's OTC cough medicine that's sold at several big drugstore chains is being recalled over incorrect markings on its dosage cup.
Perrigo, the company behind the drug, said it's recalling 5 batches of its cherry and grape liquid medicine that's sold under store brands including Rite-Aid, CVS and Dollar General.
Health officials say symptoms of overdose can include hyperactivity, stupor, nausea, vomiting, seizures and death.
The company says there have been no reports of any overdoses as a result of the incorrect dose markings, but anyone who purchased the recalled products should throw out the dosage cup right away.
