Several Attacked By Mob Of Teenagers In City's Spring Garden Neighborhood
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - It was a sudden and violent attack from out of nowhere for no reason.
"A girl from that group yells to us 'run' like they were going to kick our [expletive]. At that moment, one kid punches my friend in the face," victim Rajiv Sainath said.
Another victim, 27-year-old Emily Guendelsberger, was trampled.
Her broken tibia will require screws to be surgically implanted in her leg, according to her boyfriend Rajiv Sainath, who was also stomped in the face.

"We all got knocked down and they were kicking us and punching us on the ground for a little bit," Sainath said.
At about 9:30 p.m., right at Broad and Green streets, Rajiv, Emily and six others were walking when they were confronted by dozens, maybe even a 100 teens, who were heading south down Broad Street.
For no apparent reason, some of the teens went wild and started to attack.

The Saturday night mob is startling to people who live, and walk through the neighborhood just north of Spring Garden.
"A lot of the people will say 'where are the parents?' But it's obviously not okay to physically assault somebody. So you also have to wonder where are the kids developing this sense of right and wrong," Annie Aeri said.
"For them to do something like that is just being a bully. It's just being a punk," Dave Sexton said.

Police have checked surveillance cameras in the area, but so far have had no luck. No arrests have been made.
