Service Resumes On SEPTA's Manayunk/Norristown Line

PHILADELPHIA (CBS/AP) — Service has been restored to SEPTA's Manayunk/Norristown Regional Rail Line which was shut down over the weekend by a four-alarm fire at a warehouse near the tracks.

SEPTA says Monday that regional rail trains will run at reduced speeds in the area of North Philadelphia affected by the fire, and warns riders could experience minor delays.

Firefighters responded to the blaze at the vacant, 65,000-square foot warehouse around 2:30 a.m. Saturday and brought it under control by 6 a.m.

SEPTA shut down regional rail service until a warehouse wall next to the tracks could be demolished.
